Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot or your favorite)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, toss wings with baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange wings on a wire rack over a lined baking sheet. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway through. (Air fryer: 400°F for 22–25 minutes, shaking halfway.)
- Meanwhile, make glaze: In a small saucepan, heat honey, hot sauce, butter, red pepper flakes, and vinegar over low heat until combined. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Transfer cooked wings to a bowl, pour hot honey glaze over them, and toss to coat.
- Serve immediately with extra glaze, ranch, or your favorite dip.
Notes
Drying the wings well and using baking powder are key for crispiness. Adjust the spice level by changing the amount of hot sauce or red pepper flakes. These wings are best served fresh and hot!
